JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (JR)

The Materials Institute of Joanneum Research focuses on the manufacturing value chain for lab-on-a-foil (LoF) components. Starting with the design of microfluidic structures for different applications, the institute  develops imprinting resins with tunable properties, methods for roll-to-roll (R2R) UV-NIL patterning on flexible substrates, R2R microarray spotting and bio-reagent dispensing, and R2R UV-based lamination.

BiFlow Systems GmbH (BF)

BiFlow Systems GmbH has developed technologies to integrate complex assays into small, self-contained cartridges which can be used at the point-of-need. The cartridges contain integrated micropumps, reagent storage capabilites and may be even equipped with integrated heating functionalities.
